Designed a theatrical poster for a production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest presented by the Stage Coach Players in DeKalb. After reading the script, I developed a concept centered on the “angel of mercy” dynamic embodied by Nurse Ratched, a figure positioned to help others while remaining emotionally restrained and unable to confront her own limitations.

The poster explores themes of control, care, and psychological confinement through hand-drawn imagery and custom handmade typography. All visual elements were illustrated by hand, allowing the design to feel personal and human while contrasting with the institutional environment central to the play. The final composition aims to draw viewers into the unsettling emotional tension of the story while promoting the live theatre experience.
